Patriarchs of Antioch and Jerusalem Advocate for Inter-Church Dialogue

Damascus – Syria: His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East has emphasized the importance of strengthening inter-church communication in a world increasingly divided by conflict and disharmony. The Patriarch conveyed this message during a recent communication with His Beatitude Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem and All the Holy Land.

In a time when confrontation and clashes dominate global discourse, Patriarch John X highlighted the need for churches to build bridges of communication and foster dialogue. He stressed the importance of working together through various channels, including representative councils and conferences, to strengthen relationships with other Christian churches.

The two Patriarchs also discussed the crucial role of the Antiochian and Jerusalem Churches in preserving the Christian presence in the Middle East. They acknowledged the challenges faced by Christian communities in the region and emphasized the need for unity and cooperation among churches to address these challenges.
