Patriarchal Exarch of Africa Meets with Central African Republic President to Discuss Church’s Mission

Bangui – CF: The Russian Orthodox Church has made significant strides in its mission to the Central African Republic (CAR). Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Constantine of Zaraysk, recently concluded his first archpastoral visit to the country, where he met with President Faustin-Archange Touadera.

During their meeting, Metropolitan Constantine expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and support extended by the CAR government and people. He highlighted the growth of the Russian Orthodox Church’s presence in the country, driven by the requests of Russian expatriates and local residents seeking to embrace the faith.

President Touadera welcomed the Church’s activities and emphasized the positive impact it has had on the nation. He expressed his hope for the continued expansion of the Church’s mission and requested prayers for the people of the CAR.

Both parties discussed plans for the future development of the Russian Orthodox Church in the country, including educational projects and further strengthening of its presence.

The visit marked a significant milestone in the Church’s efforts to serve the spiritual needs of the CAR population and contribute to the nation’s development.
