Moscow – Russia: His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia expressed his condolence in the Odisha train accident that killed 288 on June 03, 2023. A condolence letter was sent to the Prime Minister of India.

We where deeply saddened by the news of a train collision in the state of Orissa, which killed hundreds of people and seriously injured many.
In these mournful days for India, I sympathize with all those who have lost their relatives, loved ones, and friends. Please give them words of comfort and support.
I wish a speedy recovery to the wounded, and to the rescue workers – patience, strength, and courage in eliminating the consequences of the railway accident.
