Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II Expressed Solidarity with Abuna Mathias and the Ethiopian Church

Damascus – Syria: H H Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II of Antioch, the Primate of the Syrian Orthodox Church sent a letter of solidarity to His Holiness Abuna Mathias of Ethiopia, the synod, and the church in the events of the recent split in the Church.

Patriarch in the letter to Patriarch Abuna Mathias once again rejected schism and rejected all illegitimate ordinations that were made through the slipt in the church. His Holiness also conveyed his support for the Ethiopian Church’s measures for unity.
