Cairo– Egypt: Newly appointed Ambassador of Greece to Egypt, Nikolaos Papageorgiou visited Patriarch Theodoros of Alexandria at the Patriarchal residence on January 31, 2023.

According to the Patriarchate:

His Beatitude expressed his joy for this visit, underlining the harmonious relations between Greece and Egypt. At the same time, he once again expressed the gratitude of the Alexandrian Church to the Greek State, as well as to His Excellency. Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis, for his constant understanding of the general missionary, pastoral, humanitarian, and national work on the African continent.

In his reply, the Ambassador thanked His Beatitude for the warm welcome and expressed his undiminished support for the ancient Patriarchate of Alexandria and all Africa.
