Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky Meets with Archbishop Ezras Nersissian: Strengthening Russian-Armenian Church Relations

Moscow – Russia: On February 2, 2024, the head of the Moscow Patriarchate Office for the Affairs of Dioceses of the Near Abroad, Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna met with the head of the Russian and New Nakhichevan diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Ezras, the website of the Moscow Metropolis reports .
The meeting, which took place at the residence of the Armenian temple complex in Moscow, was attended by Archbishop Aksy of Podolsk and Lyubertsy, temporary administrator of the Yerevan-Armenian Diocese.
The parties exchanged greetings. In addition, Archbishop Ezras congratulated Archbishop Axis on his appointment to the position of temporary administrator of the Yerevan-Armenian Diocese, wishing him fruitful work for the benefit of the Church of Christ. Bishop Aksiy said that he intends to visit Armenia in the near future.
Accompanied by Bishop Yezras, the guests visited the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord and the Tapan Museum, where they got acquainted with the spiritual and cultural values of the Armenian people.
During the conversation, issues of developing and strengthening relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Armenian Apostolic Church were touched upon.
