Metropolitan Anthony of DECR Visited Patriarch Theophilos III of Jerusalem

Holy Land- Jerusalem: Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate met with His Beatitude Theophilos III, Patriarch of the Holy City of Jerusalem and All Palestine at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem on 11th May 2023. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. They discussed topics related to mutual interest and the issues faced by Christians in the Middle East. Metropolitan Anthony conveyed to the Primate of the Jerusalem Church the warm wishes of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill and they exchanged gifts.

DECR chairman was accompanied by Archpriest Nikolai Balashov, adviser to the Patriarch of Moscow. This was the second visit by Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk to His Beatitude Theophilos III after his appointment as the chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
