DECR Chairman Meets with Hierarch of Antiochian Orthodox Church

Moscow- Russia: On May 12, 2025, the Department for External Church Relations hosted a meeting between the Chairman of the DECR, Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, and Bishop Dimitry of Safit, who was on a pilgrimage within the Moscow Patriarchate.
The Chairman of the DECR warmly welcomed Bishop Dimitri. The guest shared his impressions of the pilgrimage.
The meeting participants discussed issues related to bilateral relations between the Moscow and Antiochian Patriarchates, as well as the situation in world Orthodoxy.
The discussion was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the DECR Archpriest Igor Yakimchuk and President of the Union for the Promotion of the Preservation of Traditional Spiritual Values “Christian World” A.A. Cherkezov.
