Antelias – Lebanon: The Cilicia Analytical Platform held its regular online session on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 6:00 PM Beirut time, under the chairmanship of His Holiness Catholicos Aram I. The session delved into critical issues concerning the Armenian spiritual and cultural heritage, regional political dynamics, and internal challenges facing the Armenian Church.A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to a report on the recent conference in Bern, Switzerland, focused on the preservation of Artsakh’s spiritual and cultural heritage. Discussions highlighted various initiatives undertaken in Switzerland to protect Artsakh’s rights, specifically emphasizing the formation of a parliamentary committee advocating for dialogue between representatives of Artsakh and Azerbaijan. The Platform underscored the continued legal significance of Artsakh’s state institutions.

The agenda also covered Catholicos Aram I’s recent official visit to Greece and his meetings with the Greek Prime Minister and Minister of Defense. These discussions provided an opportunity to address Turkey’s role in the region, with Greek officials reportedly focusing on threats posed by Turkey in various directions.

Furthermore, members of the Cilicia Analytical Platform expressed deep concern regarding the prevailing atmosphere in Armenia, particularly concerning inquiries made by state authorities about high-ranking clergy. The Platform deemed it unacceptable to raise such issues in a manner that creates intra-societal tension rather than fostering solutions.

Finally, the Platform noted the publication of the proceedings from last year’s conference, organized on its initiative, which documented the genocide committed in Artsakh by Azerbaijan. These professional materials are intended to serve as a guide for legal and political work aimed at protecting the rights of the people of Artsakh.
