Catholicos-Patriarch Karekin II of Armenia Received Russian State Medal

Yerevan-Armenia: H.H. Karekin the Second Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received the Russian state medal awarded by President Vladimir Putin. Medal was received on January 11, 2023, at the ceremony that was held in Holy Etchmiadzin, where the medal was handed over by the Russian ambassador to Armenia, Sergei Kopyrkin.

The Russian state medal was awarded the Order of Honor for H.H. Karekin’s “great contribution to the development of cultural-humanitarian links between Russia and Armenia”. The medal was announced in November 2022.
