Catholicos Aram I Received Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon

Antelias – Lebanon: His Holiness Aram I Catholicos of Cilicia received the Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Sahlawi at Catholicate on February 01, 2023. During the meeting, Catholicos discussed matters related to the mission of the Armenian Church, the Holy See of Cilicia, the current situation in Lebanon, the Lebanese presidential election, and the Armenian Community in Qatar.

Bishop Mesrob Sarkissian—Prelate of the UAE, Qatar, and neighboring countries attended the meeting .

According to the official statement:

His Holiness expressed his high commendation for Qatar’s positive role in interreligious dialogue and the Middle East. Finally, the Catholicos extended a letter to the ambassador addressed to the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
