Bishop Hovakim Manukyan Congratulates Prime Minister Keir Starmer of UK

London -UK: Bishop Hovakim Manukyan, Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Church in the UK and Ireland, has extended his warmest congratulations to The Rt Hon Keir Starmer MP on the Labour Party’s recent election victory and his appointment as Prime Minister.
In a letter to Prime Minister Starmer, Bishop Manukyan conveyed the Armenian community’s support and prayers for the new government’s success. He highlighted the Prime Minister’s commitment to appointing a special minister for faith communities and collaborating with faith leaders on key missions.
“We are encouraged by your recent letter to faith leaders and the commitment to work together on five key missions. I hope that the cooperation with faith communities will continue to flourish under your leadership,” Bishop Manukyan stated.
Bishop Manukyan has also sent similar letters to elected MPs with whom the community has established working relationships, expressing hopes for further collaboration for the benefit of all communities.
The Armenian Church, with its long history in the UK since 1870, looks forward to strengthening UK-Armenia relations. The community hopes for continued mutual understanding and cooperation under Prime Minister Starmer’s leadership.
