Belarusian Orthodox Church and State Collaborate on Pastoral Care and Moral Education

Minsk-Belarus: The Belarusian Orthodox Church and the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus formalized their partnership on August 01,2024, with the signing of a cooperation agreement.

The ceremony took place at the Synodal Hall of the Minsk Diocesan Administration, with Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, and Vasily Gerasimov, Chairman of the State Control Committee, in attendance.

The agreement outlines collaboration in providing pastoral care for State Control Committee employees and fostering moral education initiatives. Following the signing, both parties exchanged commemorative gifts.

This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the state, with a focus on shared values and community welfare.
