Moscow- Russia: Archimandrite Sophrony (Semenov) was consecrated as Bishop of Naryan-Mar and Mezen at the Christ the Savior Cathedral in Moscow. on May 11, 2025. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led the consecration, assisted by members of the Holy Synod.

Archimandrite Sophrony (Semenov) was elected by the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on March 20, 2025.

Bishop Sophrony (Semenov) of Naryan-Mar and Mezen was born on November 28, 1970 in the village of Nevonka, Boguchansky District, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
