Moscow- Russia: Archimandrite Ambrose (Marchenko) was consecrated as Bishop of Grozny and Sunzhensk at the Christ the Savior Cathedral  in Moscow, on July 07, 2025. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia led the consecration, assisted by members of the Holy Synod.

Archimandrite Ambrose (Marchenko) was elected by the Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church on May 15, 2025.

Bishop Ambrose (Marchenko) of Grozny and Sunzhensk was born on September 8, 1983 in the village of Beshpagir, Stavropol Krai.
