Metropolitan Titus of Paramythia

Athens- Greece: Retired Metropolitan Titus of Paramythia entered eternal rest on March 13, 2025, at the age of 94, while receiving treatment at a hospital in Preveza.
Born in Piraeus in 1931, Metropolitan Titus, whose secular name was not released, graduated from the Theological School of the University of Athens in 1964. He was ordained a deacon and priest in 1966 and served as a preacher in the Metropolis of Kefallinia.
In 1974, he was consecrated Metropolitan of Paramythia, Filiates, and Giromeri, a position he held until his resignation in August 2023, which was accepted by the Holy Synod of the Church of Greece on August 25, 2023, due to health concerns. Metropolitan Titus was later succeeded by Metropolitan Serapion.
Two New Metropolitans Consecrated for the Church of Greece
The Funeral Service will then take place on March 16,2025 at 12:00 noon in Cathedral of Saint Donatus of Paramythia.
