Belarusian Orthodox Church and State Customs Committee Sign Cooperation Agreement

Minsk-Belarus: A cooperation agreement was signed between the Belarusian Orthodox Church and the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus on February 6, 2025, in the Synodal Hall of the Minsk Diocesan Administration.

Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, and Vladimir Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, signed the document. The agreement aims to provide pastoral care for employees of the State Customs Committee and foster cooperation in moral education.

The signing ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials from both the Church and the Customs Committee, including deputy chairmen, heads of regional customs bodies, and clergy members. Prior to the signing, Metropolitan Veniamin led a prayer service in the house church of the Minsk diocesan administration.

The parties exchanged commemorative gifts at the conclusion of the visit.
