Tbilisi -Georgia: On July 22,2024, the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness Ilia II, bestowed his blessings upon the Georgian wrestling team as they prepare for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris.

Accompanied by Metropolitan Shio (Mujiri) of Senaki and Chkhorotsku, the Patriarch offered prayers for the athletes and expressed his confidence in their abilities. Patriarch Ilia also extended their blessings to the Georgian athletes already in Paris, wishing them all success in their endeavors.
