Global: Prof. Joseph Massad a faculty of modern Arab politics and intellectual history at Columbia University, New York published a relevant article titled ‘Palestinian Orthodox Christians struggle against two colonialisms‘ on Middle East Eyes Portal. The article beautifully explains the historical injustice encountered by Palestinian Arab Orthodox Christians at the hands of Ottomans, Greek Clergy, Latin Catholic crusaders and present-day Israeli authorities. The article also points out how Arab Christians are vested with the ‘Greek’ identity.

Palestinian Christians are members of Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox, Roman Catholicism and Uniate Catholic, Anglican, Lutheran and various Protestant denominations. Around 6% of the Palestinian population are Christians. However, nearly 56% of them live outside of the territory of Palestine.
