Raisa Kwiatkowska Decorated with the Order of St. Mary Magdalene on Her 100th Birthday

Warsaw-Poland: Metropolitan Sawa of Warsaw and All Poland showered a special blessing on Raisa Kwiatkowska on her 100th birthday at the St. Alexandra Church in Stanisławów. Raisa is a faithful of the Polish Orthodox Church.

During the thanks giving ceremony, Metropolitan Sawa commented that “despite the complex experiences in human life there are many joyful days. This joyful day of Mrs. Raisa is today, because God has given her a special dignity, the gift of a long life. For her special contribution to the work of church life”. Mrs. Raisa was awarded the Order of St. Mary Magdalene on the joyful occasion.

Raisa Kwiatkowska was born on the 21st of August, 1921 in Łuniniec in Polesie in the then Republic of Poland. Raisa was actively involved in the parish life. The late Archbishop Jerzy (Korenistow) of Łódź and Poznań was her cousin.
