Eastern Anatolia -Turkey: An Armenian Christian cemetery was demolished with bulldozers in Van province, reports stockholmcf.org. According to local sources, a new apartment complex will be built on the site. Local Armenians lent that many people search for the remains of their families who were either victims of forced evection or the ottoman atrocities. Earlier an old Armenian cemetery was destroyed in the Ullu district in Ankara.

Armenian leaders have been raising high concerns over the protection of Armenian cultural heritage in Turkey. Attacks on Churches, desecration of cultural monuments have become a routine in the country.
