Patriarch-Archbishop Nourhan Manougian Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Ordination to Priesthood

Jerusalem-Holy Land: His Beatitude Archbishop Nourhan Manougian, the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, celebrates the 50th anniversary of his priestly ordination on the 25th of July 25 2021. He was ordained a priest in 1971.

Brief Biography
From 1971 to 1972 His Beatitude was Vice Dean of the Armenian Theological Seminary.
From 1972 to 1973 he served the Armenian Church in Geneva, Switzerland.
In the year 1973, he became Archimandrite (Vardapet)
From 1974 he served the Armenian Church in Jaffa and Haifa.
In 1976 he became the Dean of the Armenian Theological Seminary.
In 1979 he served the Armenian Church as parish priest of the Armenian Community in Almelo, the Netherlands.
From 1982 he studied Theology at the General Theological Seminary in New York and graduated with a MA in 1985.
In the year 1988, he was elected Grand Sacristan of the Armenian Patriarchate in Jerusalem.
and in 1999 he was ordained a Bishop.
In 2000 he was ordained an Archbishop.
In 2013 he was elected as the 97th Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem.
