India/Kerala: On behalf of the executive council of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society, Mr. George Alexander(Secretary) received Dr. M Kurien Thomas, one of the leading Orthodox Christian historians in India. The meeting took place at the residence of OCP Secretary on 14th October 2012. Secretary explained in detail all recent achievements of OCP. OCP Society is the only registered Orthodox Christian organization exclusively dedicated to Pan-Orthodox unity. In his reply, Dr. Kurien appreciated the services of OCP Society to Orthodox unity and preserving the Orthodox faith.
Discussions were also made on the status of Orthodox-Roman Catholic dialogue, Eastern Catholic Rites in India as well as Oriental Orthodox Churches.
Dr. M Kurien Thomas is the author of nine books and more than 150 articles. His first international publication titled “The Indian Way of Christianity- History of Malankara Nazaranis, otherwise St Thomas Christians till C.E 1815″ was published by Lambert Academic Publishing company in the month of March 2012.
As a token of love, Mr. George presented Dr. Kurien with the icon of St Gregorios of Parumala (The First Canonized Indian Saint) and also thanked him for all support to OCP. Dr. Kurien Thomas has been a strong associate of Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE since its founding in 2007. Lunch followed.
