UAE/Abu Dhabi: It was an evening(12/10/2012)that will be written in golden letters in the history of Abu Dhabi St George Orthodox Cathedral as the members of Oriental & Eastern Orthodox Churches gathered on a single platform .The convention was led by Bishops and Priests of both churches and attended by fellow brothers and sisters who came together to be part of one Christ.

The evening started with a procession of each contingent from different churches led by OCYM members into the Cathedral for the prayer. The participating members were from Russian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Armenian and  Indian Orthodox Churches.

The prayer were lead by of H.G Kuriakose Mar Clemis and H.G Dimirtious of Ethiopian church and along with priest from Russia (Rev Fr Pavlo) ,Armenia(Rev Fr Aram) and deacon (Ashiya Haroun )from Coptic church. All gathered in the Cathedral worshiped God with different tongues as it happened on the day of Pentecost where all members praised GOD with common zeal and true worship of Orthodoxy.

Congradulatory messages from H. H. Baselius Mar Thoma Paulose II, Catholicos of the East and Malankara Metropolitan and His Grace Yuhanon Mar Policarpus were read. The letters appreciated sister church for the event and wished all success for future endeavors.

It was a vibrant and colorful evening with Orthodox Chants/hymns and dance performed by various church groups which really mesmerized the audience.

The evening concluded with candles lit up and every one taking oath to be united under one Christ.
