International Symposium on “Armenian Translation of the Holy Bible and Its Publication in the Evolution of History

The International Symposium “Armenian Translation of the Holy Bible and Its Publication in the Evolution of History”, is being held from October 6th to 8th at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Held on the eve of the Feast of the Holy Translators, the Symposium is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the printing of Armenian Bible, and has been organized by the Gevorkian Theological Seminary and the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Library.
Conference participants – Armenian and foreign historians and theologians; will present original, historical and theological analysis of the Bible.
Under the Presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; the Symposium will open on October 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the Events Auditorium of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary.
The Encyclical of the Catholicos of All Armenians issued to mark the 350th anniversary of the printing of the Armenian Bible, will be read during the opening service.
The final day of the conference, the Feast of the Holy Translators, will be held at the St. Mesrop Mashtots School and Scientific Cultural Center of Oshakan.
