Istanbul-Turkey: Christian Mesopotamia reports that the historic Armenian Orthodox Church of The Holy Trinity in South-Central Turkish City of Konya (one of the largest Churches in Turkey) has been converted to a Cultural Center. This is yet another desperate attempt by the authoritarian Erdogan regime to erase Christian religious and cultural monuments in the Country.

In 2020 itself, the Turkish government converted two historic Churches, namely the historic Hagia Sophia Orthodox Cathedral and the 4th century Chora Orthodox Church to Islamic places of worship.
