Catholicos Officially Launch Book on ‘Malankara Church’ by Rohit Gupta

Mount Abu- Rajasthan, India – His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Paulose II (Catholicos on the Apostolic Throne of St. Thomas, Malankara Metropolitan, Moopan and Chief Custodian of the Malankara Nazaranieth and the Primate of the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church officially launched the book titled ‘‘Malankara Orthodox Church – Everything About the Indian Orthodox Church’ authored by Rohit Gupta.

The Catholicos Baselious Paulose II officially released the book by receiving a copy from Rohit Gupta. The Catholicos honoured the author with a special shawl for his efforts. Catholicos and the Prelates lauded the terrific effort of Rohit Gupta. The faithful were detailed on Gupta’s profile, his efforts and his special relationship with the Indian Orthodox Malankara Church. Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Coorilos and Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Yulios were present for the occasion.

Rohit Gupta also met Fr. Dr Jossi Jacob – the new Principal of the St. Thomas Orthodox Theological Seminary, Nagpur and the Chief of Center for Orthodox Studies of the Orthodoxy Cognate PAGE Society.

The book launch event took place as part of the consecration ceremony of North India’s first Orthodox retreat, research center-cum-chapel at Abu Road, Rajasthan, on 11th Sept 2019.

Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Coorilos of Bombay, and Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Yulios of Ahmadabad were co-celebrants. Several priests and a large number of faithful attended the ceremony.
