Yerevan-Armenia: Bishop Vertanes Abrahamyan has been appointed as the Primate of the Diocese of Artsakh. Prior to the new appointment, the Primate served as the Head Chaplain of the Armed Forces of the Ministry of the Republic of Armenia. The Pontifical Order of appointment was issued by His Holiness Karekin II (Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians) on the 21st of January 2021.

The former Primate of the Artsakh Diocese, Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan has been appointed as the Pontifical Legate with special commitments.
