Visit of Youth Pilgrims from the Armenian Diocese of Argentina to the Mother See

On August 5, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Eminence Nathan Hovhannisian, Director of the Publishing Department of the Mother See, received the graduate student class of the St. Grigor Lusavorich School of the Armenian Diocese of Argentina, students from the Vicente Lopez School, and members of the “Gayane” Dancing Troupe of the Argentina-Armenian Cultural Union of Buenos Aires. They were accompanied by Rev. Fr. Maghakia Amiryan, the parish priest of the St. Grigor Lusavorich Church of Buenos Aires.

Father Maghakia presented the group members to Bishop Nathan, and informed him that with the blessings of the diocesan leadership, the youth make a pilgrimage to Armenia and the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin every year, to get learn about the rich culture of the Homeland and our sacred values.

His Eminence welcomed the young Armenians visit to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He noted in his remarks the importance of pilgrims’ visit, stating that the connection to their centuries-old Homeland, their heritages and the sacred values, should serve as a source of inspiration and promote their patriotic and church-loving souls.

During the meeting Bishop Nathan answered the youth’s questions, which centered on the contemporary challenges facing the Church, the present status of Church-state relations and the educational and community activities undertaken by the Mother See.
