19/5/2012

TBILISI. – The trash removal works in Tbilisi’s Surb Nshan Armenian Church are completed, leader of Armenian Hayartun Cultural Center Levon Chidilyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The workers fully removed the trash and debris, sculptures were cleaned, the surrounding houses were insulated from the threat. Estimations on reconstruction are being compiled now,” Levon Chidilyan said.

According to him, the Georgian side has not set a date for starting reconstruction works yet.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, a wall of Armenian Surb Nshan church in Tbilisi had collapsed. The church was already damaged due to two fires which had occurred in January, 2012.
