Tourist Interest in Perperikon and Tatul

A lot of Bulgarians have chosen the Eastern Rhodopes as a destination for the Easter holidays. The visitors are attracted by both the Wonders in the region ? the Thracian sanctuaries in Perperikon and Tatul and by the other sights there like the ancient fortresses, Roman bridges and natural phenomena.
The famous monastery complex Assumption of Virgin Mary in Kardjali expects groups of tourists from all over Bulgaria. The orthodox spiritual centre attracts both Bulgarians and foreigners. It gained fame due to the energy and efforts of one of the priests serving there – Father Boyan Saraev.
The central church in Kradjali is getting ready for welcoming the Holy Fire at the night of Easter.
