‘There is Nothing More Perfect Than Prayer’ – Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia

Belgrade-Serbia: “There is nothing more perfect than the prayer that a person addresses to God for the good of his neighbors and the salvation of the world” stated Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia during the sermon delivered on the feast of St. Panteleimon at St. Nicholas of Myra, the Miracle-worker Church in Donji, Milanovac.

“My heart is filled with joy that I am able to pray to God together with the people of the Diocese of Timok, the brothers hierarchs and the clergy. This picturesque environment around us is a proof of God’s love, and beauty shows that it could not become by itself. The beauty of nature has been decorated by the faith of the Orthodox Christians of this region through the centuries” stated the head of the Serbian Church.
