The Temple of “Three Abrahamic Religions” to be Opened in the United Arab Emirates

Abu Dhabi-UAE:  According to a report by Sputnik, the government of UAE will open a temple of the three Abrahamic religions (Jewish, Christianity and Islam) in the Capital city of Abu Dhabi in 2022. The announcement was made by The ambassador of the UAE to Russia, H E Mohamed Ahmed bin Sultan Al Jaber in Moscow.

The United Arab Emirates is well known for its religious tolerance in the gulf region. Around 76 per cent of its population follow the Islamic faith.  In 2017, UAE renamed a mosque by the title “Mariam, Umm Eisa” mosque, which means “Mary, Mother of Jesus” mosque. The mosque is situated in Al Mushrif, a central neighbourhood in the city of Abu Dhabi. UAE is home to a large number of Christian Churches apart from Hindu temples and Gurdwara.

In a historic move, the UAE government signed the “Israel–United Arab Emirates” normalization agreement on the 13th of August 2020 that stabilized the Emirati-Jewish relations.
