The Name-Day Celebration of Metropolitan Daniel of Japan Held

Tokyo-Japan: The name day of Archbishop Daniel of Tokyo and Metropolitan of all japan was celebrated on the 12th of September at the Holy Resurrection Cathedral in Tokyo. Special prayers were offered for the health of Metropolitan Daniel.

Bishop Seraphim of Sendai and Bishop Seraphim of Tokyo congratulated the Metropolitan on his name and presented him with an icon. Daniel is the Metropolitan of All Japan and Archbishop of Tokyo and the head of the Japanese Orthodox Church since May 2000.
