Tbilisi- Georgia: OC Media in their article titled ‘Georgian prosecutors silent on Church pedophilia allegation‘ by Tata Shoshiashvili states that Georgian persecutors remain silent on the child abuse allegations made against the Orthodox Church. The office of the Persecutor refused to comment on the status of the investigations against 12 priests how has been accused with sexual abuse of children. So far, no No criminal cases have been made against any of the priests.

Controversy Erupts in Georgia Over ‘Leaked’ Church Documents

A controversy erupted recently in Georgian over the leaked ‘Church documents’ as a result of the State Security Spying. ‘Some officer’ working at the State Security Services has leaked several files containing classified information on numerous clergymen of the Georgian Orthodox Church.
