Alaska-USA: The 51st Annual Saint Herman Pilgrimage was held from August 8-9, 2021. Metropolitan-Primate Tikhon (Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada) the head of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA) presided over the celebrations. A large number of clergy and faithful from various Orthodox jurisdictions took part in the pilgrimage.

Apart from the annual celebrations, Bishop Alexis of Bethesda was designated as the new candidate to lead the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska.
