Syria – Archbishop Mansour: President al-Assad Historic visit to Brazil boosts Ties

Archbishop of Orthodox Church in Brazil, Damaskinos Mansour on Tuesday underlined that President Bashar al-Assad’s historic visit to Brazil consolidates ties between millions of Syrian expatriates and their motherland.
Mansour hailed President al-Assad’s honorable stances and right prospective visions which gathered all peace-loving nations. He added that President al-Assad’s visit to Brazil will contribute to consolidating the political positions to include other aspects, particularly the cultural and economic ones.
Mansour appreciated President Luiz Inلcio Lula da Silva and his government initiatives for boosting rapprochement with the Arab countries.
He underlined the Brazilian Orthodox church’s role in embracing the Syrian expatriates in Brazil, adding that it has an important role in connecting the Syrian expatriates with their homeland.
