Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven Welcomes Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II

The prime minister of Sweden, H.E Stefan Löfven, received H.H Patriarch Aphrem II at the Prime Minister’s office today.
The prime minister welcomed His Holiness and spoke about the role of the Syriac Orthodox Church in Sweden and integration of the Syriac faithful in the Swedish society.
In turn, His Holiness thanked the prime minister for the invitation and spoke about the situation of Christians in Middle East. H.H also stressed on the importance of an official recognition by the Swedish government of the Syriac Genocide Sayfo and thanked the prime minister for providing Syriac immigrants from the Middle East with assistance and help.
