AL AIN, UAE: St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Simhasana Church, Al Ain, United Arab Emirates elevated as Cathedral by His Holiness Patriarch Ignatius Zakka Iwas and is declared by His Beatitude Catholicos Baselios Thomas I on May 13th 2011.
On the same day H.B Catholicos Baselios Thomas I installed Holy relic of Saint Gregorios Chathuruthil (Parumala Thirumeni). Diocesan Metropolitan Mor Aphrem Mathews read the Holy apostolic Bull from H.H Patriarch Ignatius Zakka I. H.G Mor Aphrem Mathews & H.G Mor Anthonios Yaq`ub assisted H.B Catholicos in the Holy Trimass held as part of the celebrations. Lots of priests & hundreds of faithful participated in the function. Vicar & The Managing committee members of the Church lead all the preparatory work for the celebrations.
