Serbs from Croatia support SPC initiative to place Tesla’s urn in the Temple of St. Sava

BELGRADE – Association of Serbs from Croatia and Association of Refugees and other Serbian associations from Croatia have supported on Saturday the initiative by the Serbian Orthodox Church to place the urn of Nikola Tesla from the Museum of the famous scientist in Belgrade in the crypt of the Temple of Saint Sava.
Association of Serbs from Croatia started this initiative during the marking of the 150th anniversary of Tesla’s birth, in 2006, but did not meet understanding, the Association said in a statement.
Serbian Patriarch Irinej said few days ago, at the exhibition “Light of Tesla’s Work”, that Serbian Orthodox Church has raised the question to place Tesla’s urn in the crypt in the Temple of Saint Sava, and to also place a monument for the famous scientist there, expressing the hope that this will be done.
