Kovalevka (Rostov region), January 7, Interfax – The eleventh humanitarian convoy will bring Christmas presents to Donbas children, deputy head of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry’s National Crisis Management Center Oleg Voronov said.

The Christmas packages will include toys and sweets.

The eleventh convoy is being formed in the Rostov region. “It is planned to comprise over 120 trucks, which will transport over 1,400 tonnes of humanitarian aid. In addition to presents, the convoy will be carrying canned meat, fish and dairy products, baby food and seven types of cereals, including buckwheat, pearl barley, barley, semolina and rice,” the center deputy head continued.

Humanitarian cargos were formed in the Moscow, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Tula, Volgograd and Rostov regions. The convoy is due to arrive in Donbas on January 8.

The self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) is fully prepared to receive the eleventh Christmas humanitarian convoy from Russia despite frosts. “We are 100% ready to receive this convoy. Warehouses and access roads have been cleared of snow. Oblavtodor specialists are constantly monitoring road conditions. Neither ice nor sudden snowfalls will prevent the LPR from receiving humanitarian cargo,” the Luhansk information center has quoted Alexander Drobot, the head of the LPR reconstructions management center, as saying.
