Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Visits the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 14, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, welcomed Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan, the newly appointed Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting His Holiness Karekin II offered his blessings and congratulations to Mr. Abrahamyan for assuming the responsible role of the Armenian Prime Minister, wishing him success in the mission of forging a prosperous life in the Homeland.
The Catholicos of All Armenians reflected on the various challenges the country and the nation faces today, expressing his hope that with his experience and talent the newly appointed prime minister would realize positive revision and changes in the lives of the Armenians.
During the discussion His Holiness happily commented on the Church- State relations and the current beneficial collaboration between the Armenians Church and various organizations in the Homeland. The Catholicos of All Armenians confirmed that staying true to its national mission the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin will continue supporting the national authorities in their patriotic endeavors and in reinforcing the independence of the statehood.
Mr. Abrahamyan expressed his commitment and determination in taking all the necessary steps to overcome the current challenges and meeting the expectations of the people. The Armenian Prime Minister also assured that he would direct his efforts in making the relations between the Armenian Church and the Armenian Government more beneficial and dynamic.
Present at the meeting was His Grace Bishop Arshak Kachatryan, Chancellor of the Mother See.
