Primate of the UOC participated in celebration of the city day of Irpin

On September 18, His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr visited the city of Irpin, Kyiv region, where he took part in the solemn arrangements dedicated to the Day of the city.
In the square in front of the building of the city council the Archpastor celebrated the thanksgiving prayer service in concelebration of the Secretary for the Primate of the UOC, His Grace Alexander, Bishop of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyy and the city clergymen.
Before the beginning of the divine service His Beatitude congratulated local residents on the Day of their city. .
“Greeting you today on this solemn feast, I prayerfully wish that God blessed each of you with peace, quietude and inspiration in the life and works for which you are installed by God Himself to fulfill His sacred will. May the blessing of God be on each of you, giving strength, power and hope for eternal life”, the Primate said.
For the services to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church and on the occasion of the 45th birthday anniversary Metropolitan Volodymyr marked the city head of Irpin, Oleh Bondar, with the Order of the Holy Hierarch Theodosius of Chernihiv.
At the end the Primate together with the city executives laid flowers to the memorial Communal Grave.
