Pope Theodoros II meets Bishop Ashod Mnatsakanyan – Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Egypt

On 28th October 2014, His Beatitude Theodoros II, Pope and Patriarch of Alexandria and All Africa, welcomed to the Patriarchal See the Primate of the Armenian Orthodox Diocese in Egypt, Bishop Ashod Mnatsakanyan. During their meeting, which is part of the cooperation between Christians denominations in Egypt, the two Church leaders discussed matters relating to their mutual intention to work for institutional consolidation and for the active defense of the right to the freedom of religious expression for all Christians in Egypt, regardless of denomination.

Earlier on His Beatitude had received the Teaching staff of all levels of the Schools of the Hellenic Community of Alexandria, by whom he was briefed on the progress of the pupils of the Hellenic Community and with whom he shared his experience from the educational practices which are applicable in all the Missionary schools throughout Africa.
