Pope Shenouda receives Al Azhar Delegation

Pope Shenouda III, the Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark diocese on 25/10/2011 received Al Azhar delegation that comprises Dr. Ahmed Kamal Abul Magd; Dr .Mustafa el Fikki and number of the elders of Al-Azhar that came to the church to offer condolences over the death of the Maspero incidents victims.
The members of the delegation expressed keenness to work with the church leadership in nipping any sedition in the bud.
Both sides stressed Egypt’s need for religious discourse to confront extremism and militancy and spread the values of religious tolerance and ensure the safety of the community and protect its national unity.
