Polish Orthodox Church to Honor Cypriot Byzantinist Chotzakoglou

Byzantinist of the Greek Open University in Athens and member of the administrative board of the “World Forum For Religions and Cultures” of the Holy Kykkos Monastery in Cyprus, Charalampos G. Chotzakoglou, will be honored by the Prince Konstantin Ostrogski Foundation of the Polish Orthodox Church for his scientific work in archaeology and history of arts as well as his rich activity in regards to the preservation of religious monuments in the Turk-occupied area of Northern Cyprus and his contribution to notifying the world of the issue.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday May 6, in a special event held by the Polish Orthodox Church. The Polish church organizes such ceremonies annually, choosing to honor scientists from across the Orthodox world whose distinguishable activities promote and protect the Orthodox cultural inheritance.
