Patriarchs of Antioch Meet in Damascus

Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate  – 18/12/16

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II received His Beatitude John X, Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, at the Patriarchate in Bab Touma – Damascus.

His Holiness and His Beatitude discussed the ways to strengthen the relations between the two sister churches. They also discussed the common work of the churches in Syria in the relief and development projects for all those affected by the crisis.

The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop George Kourieh, Dean of Mor Aphrem Theological Seminary in Maarat Saydnaya, Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director, Very Rev. Raban Jack Yacoub, Director of the Youth Department, Very Rev. Raban Gabriel Dahho and Very Rev. Raban Cyril Babi.

His Beatitude was accompanied by His Grace Nicolas Baalbaki and Rev. Dn. Georges Yaacoub.
