Patriarch IRINEJ continues his visit to Northern Kosovo, Metropolitan Amfilohije served in Ranilug and visits Kosovo Pomoravlje

His Holiness IRINEJ, Serbian Patriarch served this morning Holy Liturgy in the monastery of Devic with the concelebration of Vicar Bishop Teodosije and priests of Mitrovac governorship. After Devic, Patriarch IRINEJ visited along with Bishop Teodosije monasteries of Sokolica and Banjska in Northern Kosovo and continued the journey towards Belgrade, and so his two-day visit to Kosovo and Metohija was completed.

His Eminence Metropolitan Amfilohije served this morning the Holy Liturgy in the village of Ranilug in Kosovo Pomoravlje with the concelebration of 14 priests. In the Liturgy 200 people participated and many children partook the holy bread.

The Locum Tetens of the Diocese of RP and KM, Metropolitan Amfilohije then visited a village of Korminjane and the church of St. Dormition of the Mother of God. This church has a nicely preserved frescoes from the 19th century and Metropolitan Amfilohije used the occasion to talk to local priests and members of the Church Committee about the existing problems and ways to improve the church life in this region.

At the end of today’s visit to Kosovo Pomoravlje, Metropolitan Amfilohije with priesthood visited the church of St. Gabriel the Archangel in the village of Koretina.
