Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II visits President of the Federal Republic of Austria – Dr. Heinz Fischer

His Holiness Patriarch Moran Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited Dr. Heinz Fischer, President of the Federal Republic of Austria. His Holiness led a delegation which included: their Eminences Archbishops Mor Dionysius Issa Gurbuz, Patriarchal Vicar in Switzerland and Austria, Mor Timotheos Matta Al-Khoury, Patriarchal Secretary, along with the priests of the Syriac Orthodox parishes in Vienna and the president of the archdiocesan council.
Patriarch Aphrem urged President Fischer to persue diplomatic means to solve the crisis in Syria.
