Patriarch Ignatius Aphrem II meets Hungarian Prime Minister Mr. Viktor Orban

His Holiness Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II met with His Excellency the Hungarian Prime Minister Mr. Viktor Orban, at the Hungarian House of Parliament.

The meeting was attended by His Eminence Mor Nicodemus Daoud Sharaf, Archbishop of Mosul, Kirkuk and Kurdistan, and Very Rev. Raban Joseph Bali, Patriarchal Secretary and Media Office Director.

During the meeting, His Holiness gave an overview of the situation of Christians in the Middle East. He also spoke about the persecution that Christians are undergoing in their homeland as well as in camps in Europe.

His Holiness asked Prime Minister Orban to help in the case of the abducted Archbishops of Aleppo Boulos Yaziji and Mor Gregorius Youhanna Ibrahim.
